Operating Agreement

  1. Meetings held the first Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m.(may adjourn earlier).
  2. Membership requirements are a mutually agreed upon annual fee for the cost of website, etc. plus 80% attendance at meetings.
  3. Meetings will start and end on time.
  4. All information shared is confidential – sharing at the beginning of the meeting or through issues.
  5. The group has three positions which are voted upon: Chair/Facilitator, Treasure and Membership.
  6. Operate as a “carefrontational” group, tough but respectful and fair.
  7. Purpose of the group is to help you increase your effectiveness and enhance your lives.
  8. Bring an issue to work on at each meeting.
  9. Group endeavors to process at least one issue each meeting.
  10. Each meeting has a personal and business review by each member.
  11. Attendance:  Inform the group if you will miss a meeting and notify the chair.  Email personal and business updates to group.
  12. If more than 3 meetings are missed, your attendance will be worked as an issue, and you will be contacted as to whether you will be allowed to stay in the group.
  13. Group size to be no larger than 18 people.
  14. Group has quarterly social events and spouse/partners are invited.
  15. Goals – pick 3 personal and 3 professional each year and track/report on throughout the year.
  16. 1-1 for breakfast, coffee, or lunch to get to know more about other members is encouraged.

New Member Process

  1. The PSP has adopted the criteria of “no competitors” in the group.  However, the goal is to encourage business Diversity.
  2. A member/sponsor will suggest the addition of a particular individual and make a case for the person to join.
  3. The member will forward prospective members’ information to the Chair to vet and see if person meets the groups’ requirements.
  4. If the Chair recommends the new person, the prospective member’s CV or resume will be forwarded to the group prior to the person attending.
  5. If the prospective member’s background is appropriate, the person will be invited to attend the business portion of the meeting.  The person will be asked to leave for confidential issues.
  6. The prospective member can attend up to three (3) meeting for the members and the new person to decide if the PSP is a good fit.
  7. At the meeting, we will find out detailed information about the person’s business – we will all be able to decide if he/she would be a good fit.
  8. Group will discuss in person at the next meeting whether to invite the person to become a member.
  9. If a conflict exists because a prospective member’s service “overlaps” that of an existing member, the group will not allow the individual to join..
